Today, millions of families forgo of basic health care needs and struggle with massive medical debt, as the health and wellbeing of communities across the country continues to erode.
It is time that California, and the U.S.A, end the for-profit health insurance system that has put profit over the lives of our families for decades.
Single-payer is the BEST option to ensure equity, fairness, and treatment priorities aligned with actual medical needs.

Many Countries with far less resources than the U.S.A. have had the benefit of some form of nationalized health care insurance, leading to a far more equitable and accessible healthcare for their residents.
Yet, those countries all spend far less on health care than we do, AND they have better health outcomes than us.
What is Single Payer?
A single-payer national health insurance, also known as “Medicare for all”, is a single public insurer that finances health care expenditures while health care delivery remains mainly in private or non-profit sector.
A single-payer system, covers ALL residents for ALL medically necessary services, including doctor visits, preventative/reproductive/mental/long-term care, hospitalization, dental, vision, prescription drug and medical supply costs.
CalCare for California!
California’s guaranteed Health Care for ALL legislation, also known as CalCare, will remove profit from the healthcare system and will build a state-wide, comprehensive, universal health care coverage system for ALL residents regardless of age, income, or immigration status.
